New series by Michael Koerner

Michael Koerner's newest series is titled "The God Cell," which features mirrored abstractions of golds and reds. The artist uses his background in chemistry to create his work through a 19the century, camera-less process. His work explores his family history and genetics through tintypes.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the opening of "Photography & _____" and Michael Koerner: "Hibakusha: A tribute to the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombings" on Friday, July 10. This was our first opening after the quarantine and we are so grateful for everyone's support and cooperation, keeping our space a safe environment.


Hot Off The Press: Michael Koerner - Hibakusha

In this week's Hot Off The Press, Catherine Edelman speaks with Michael Koerner about his newest body of work "Hibakusha." This new series pays respect to those that passed away and those that survived the atomic bombings in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. The work will be exhibited in an upcoming exhibition opening July 10.


CEG opens with two exhibitions July 10!

Catherine Edelman Gallery is excited to open its doors with two exhibitions: the first artist collaborative exhibition in its 32+ history, “Photography & _____,” and Michael Koerner: “Hibakusha: A tribute to the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombings.” The shows open July 10 and run through September 4, 2020. To avoid crowds, the opening reception will be from noon – 8:00 pm on Friday, July 10.
