Congratulations to Terry Evans, whose solo exhibition Stories of the American Prairies recently opened at the Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida. Featuring thirty-three photos by the artist, the exhibition is "a love letter to America’s Heartland documenting the ecological transformations of the mid-west from Texas to Canada." The show runs from November 27 through July 4, 2021.
Terry Evans was born in the heart of the American prairie, Kansas City, Missouri, spending most of her adult life in Salina before moving to Chicago. It is in Kansas, among the hay bales, grain silos and cultivated fields, that Terry's passion for the great plains was born - a passion that has led her on a photographic journey spanning more than twenty years.
