Spotlight: A Tribute to Lynn Geesaman (b. 1938 - d. 2020)

CEG is thrilled to introduce Spotlight, a new online venture that provides our audience with a more engaging experience with our artists and their work. Every week we will launch an exhibition that includes work by a gallery artist, or a thematic show based on our inventory. With Spotlight, we aim to create a virtual experience for our followers, offering a new way to interact with our artists and the photographs we have at CEG.

Our first Spotlight is "A Tribute to Lynn Geesaman (b. 1938 - d. 2020)" who passed away on February 29, 2020 after a 15 year battle with dementia. Her work offers a sense of calm, inviting viewers to meander through the poplars in France, the canals in Belgium and the cypress trees in Italy.

"On February 29, 2020, Lynn Geesaman passed away after a 15 year battle with dementia. My heart goes out to Don and Sarah, and the extended family. I first showed Lynn's work more than 30 years ago. Since then, CEG has had numerous exhibitions of her beautiful landscapes that touched people's heart, reminding us to stop, look and breathe. I have many stories about Lynn but my favorite is when she came into the gallery with her twin sister, sometime around 2007. I remember just staring at them, convinced I would know who was who. Lynn enjoyed my dilemma, finally smiling her familiar smile. I imagine they did this often as children, and felt lucky to have met her other half. Here are a few of my favorite photos."
