Book a Gallery Tour
Director Juli Lowe will be giving private tours of the exhibition on view on Saturdays at 10:00 am, discussing the featured artists and themes represented in the show. As part of our partnership with Sol Chicago, a healthy smoothie and drink cafe in West Town, each participant will get $2 off a drink! Although these tours are free, registration is required as we are limiting each tour to six people. Physical distancing guidelines will be followed, and all visitors are required to wear a face mask to enter the gallery. We are looking forward to providing an additional way for our audience to actively engage with the artwork on view! View gallery tour schedule and registration information here.
December 1, 2019 marked the 32-year anniversary of Catherine Edelman Gallery, a venue for contemporary fine art photography in Chicago. Since its founding in 1987, the gallery has established itself as one of the leading galleries in the Midwest devoted to the exhibition of prominent living photographers, alongside new & young talent. The gallery showcases a broad range of subject matter, attracting both the seasoned collector and first time buyer. Recently, CEG has expanded its program to include mixed-media photo based art, as it seeks to expand the vocabulary of photography. Our web site provides a wealth of information, including artist talks, interviews with art world professionals, an online only gallery for local talent, and extensive educational material. The gallery hosts six exhibitions a year, and participates in art fairs throughout the country.
Catherine is an active member of the Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD) and is widely respected as a leader, educator and specialist in the field of contemporary photography.
Lower level is accessible via a steep ramp. Please call ahead of time to make arrangements to use it. Otherwise, any and all artworks can be brought upstairs for your viewing.

The relevant portions of the WCAG will serve as our primary web accessibility standard, though other standards may also be used to provide accessibility to the extent required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
