Alex Stern, age 14 I might respect my dad or mom the most. Maybe my dad just because he has really taught me a lot about life, and manners and discipline. He mixes in with doing all that-- which I really need to know-- lots of fun, and I respect him for being able to do both. Not many dads know how to do that really well and he’s the best dad. Same with my mom. Our family has one of the best relationships of any family I’ve ever known. With my parents help I might become something, go pursue my dreams, ‘cause everyone says “Follow your dreams.” My grandparents and my people that came before me were Jewish, so they suffered the Holocaust, which is terrible. I feel badly about discrimination. I don’t like it at all and I’d like to try to stop it actually. I’d really like to become friends with people that are different than me, different races.
